Gemma and Dave married at The Joshua Bradley back in February and I had so much fun documenting their special day.Read More
11 things I’ll remember about February 2019:
Those dark eyes.
Coconut sugar on my morning cereal.
Evening cream up sessions.
Afternoons at the swing in the snow suit.
A new Mickey Mouse dressing gown.
Pets As Therapy Day at Barton Grange Garden Centre.
Preparing to photograph a special day.
Last month I travelled back to my home town to meet-up with the lovely Gemma and Dave to discuss plans for their wedding and do their wedding pre-shoot. I’m over the moon to be photographing Gemma and Dave’s big day later this month and it’s all the more special because Gemma is a childhood friend.Read More
Sometimes you’re given a gift in life and you have to grab hold of it with both hands. This is what it felt like to capture the Broomby family on their autumn family documentary session. Beth, Oscar and Esme were such a joy to spend time with, it just didn’t feel like work at all. I spent a beautiful morning with them at their rustic Kendal cottage back in October. Dusting off the cobwebs on my camera after having Leo, I was welcomed into their home for mugs of steaming hot tea, chats and puppy fun.Read More
Leo turned 6 months old this week and I honestly can’t believe where the time has gone?! In some ways life is moving so quickly and in other ways our pace of life is so much slower now we have a baby, it’s a weird paradox. Now that Leo has hit 6 months old, some things have got much easier; he’s not demanding the boob as much, we’re tag teaming like pros and the nights aren’t as scary, long or as exhausting. In essence, we’re starting to find our rhythm with this thing called parenting.Read More
I have Monday off work so walk with Steve to the university and take my time on the way back to practise with my new camera. It's a moment of calm before the busyness of hospital scans and midwife appointments.Read More
Last year, I took some photos of Eleanor to help her set-up her her business - Be Fee Cleaning. It was one of the first shoots I did last year to develop my portfolio, so it was a great opportunity for me to practice taking a variety of shots at Eleanor's home. Since then, life has been so busy and whilst I've shared a lot of these images on my Instagram account, I haven't had time to share them on my little blog.Read More
I've decided to start a 52 Project because I'd love to document life with baby Monk when he arrives and also because I want to improve my photography skills. I'm hoping that by setting-up the habit now it will be easier with all the chaos of having a newborn to keep it up!Read More
Back in June, I shared Part 1 of my wedding photos for the lovely David & Amy. This was my first ever wedding shoot and it was the biggest risk I've taken with my photography so far. Whilst at times this was oh so scary and unbelievably nerve-wracking, I am so pleased I put myself out there for this opportunity as I learnt so much from the experience and it has really helped me to turn a corner with my work and direction for Morganna Designs.Read More
So pleased to share a little sneak peek of the wedding photos for the adorable David & Amy who married in the spring sunshine of this grade II listed country house overlooking the Yorkshire Dales. It was a beautiful day!Read More
