Back in February (gosh, I can’t believe we’re in May already!) I had the privilege of photographing the lovely Gemma and Dave’s wedding at The Joshua Bradley back in my home town of Hyde (South East Manchester). After meeting with the lovely couple for their wedding pre-shoot in January, I was so excited to be photographing their big day.
It was a beautiful, bright winter’s day and I spent the early afternoon with Gemma, her mum (Anne), bridesmaid (Claire) and adorable daughter and flower girl, Maggie. whilst they got preened and pampered. Gemma and the girls were at The Joshua Bradley, whilst Dave and Alfie (son and best man) were at home getting ready.
These photos are just a select few from Part 1 of 4 from the final edits. They’re some of my favourite images from the whole day, just because the prep and getting ready parts of the wedding seem to suit my documentary style of shooting. I love capturing people unobserved, the little details, the moments that would otherwise be missed but will later form cherished memories and of course the ever changing light.
